Lance Wyman. Olympic Volunteer Outfits. 1968. Printed cloth.

U.S. designer Lance Wyman designed the logo for 1968 Summer Olympic Games in Mexico. He was commissioned to create a design that represented a “modern” Mexico, since the nation was set to be host an international crowd for the games. His design campaign included outfits worn by Olympic guides, or edecanes, who acted as hosts and embodied the Op Art and modernist design.
